my airpods are engraved, so i wanted a case that still showed that, but also not just clear. at first i was skeptical to buy a case with 2 pieces because i know the top tends to fall off a lot. however, the top has yet to fall off of mine! the material is very sturdy. i carry my airpods around everywhere i go & nothing has been a problem. i can still wirelessly charge them with the case on! you can still hear the sounds the airpods make when trying to ping them as well. love the case & have gotten many compliments
